EATING OUT; AN EXCURSION

For both Kamala and Rajeswary eating out was considered a huge ordeal. Kamala's father would take her family out to eat once in awhile for a birthday or special occassion. She would go to a South Indian restauraunt or a North Indian Restaurant. Typical South Indian meals would be served at the restauraunts but in a fancier way. She would eat vegetarian biriyani when she went to there. At North Indian Restaurants she would have naan with vegetables. Presently her favourite South Indian Restauraunt is Saravana Bhavan in Scarborough.  It is no longer considered an excursion when she goes there with friends and family. Although she tends to eat foods at home as a healthier alternative she does enjoy going to retaurants once in a while.

 

Rajeswary did not typically go to restauraunts as a child because her mother would always have something prepared to eat at home. Once in a while on her way home from school she would stop by a local restaurant and have vegetarian biriyani with her friends. Presently she enjoys home cooked meals and does not go out to restauraunts unless her children take her there for a special occasion.
